Hi guys. My car's springs seems to be sagging. The whole car looks like its been lowered a inch or so. When I park next to my friend's GSX, his car looks like an inch or so higher than mine and we're both on stock suspension. The car handles just fine, but the last time I had two friends sitting in the back (skinny friends ~130lbs ea.) the car bottomed out when I hit a bump on the highway. This never happened before, but then I did get a 3" turboback that went under the axle. So maybe thats whats hitting the ground.

What do you guys think about KYB GR-2's with stock springs? I'm about to buy a set of used stock springs from a 2g GS and get some new GR2's along with it. I don't really want to lower my car but I want a little stiffer ride so I won't get as much body roll. From what I've read, the GR2's are stock replacements but just a tad stiffer. Will this set up work fine?

The kyb gr2 are fine shocks that are great for daily driving , I would honestly get a stiffer spring though. Stock is ok but dude our cars look like their 4 wheelers , I have the tien highteck springs wich are 30-40% stiffer. This for me did the trick .

Look around and check out the manufacturers spring rates and then make an educated guess.

I know what you mean. But its just that the place I live in has too many potholes. Plus I live in a house that has a driveway and I'd have to drive up a curb everytime I park in my garage or pulling in somewhere. I really want to return it back to stock height because everytime I pull out of my driveway, the bottom of the bumper scraps the floor like a shovel.

For daily driving, it doesn't get any better than GR-2's. Stock springs will be soft, and the handling of the car won't be optimized, but it'll ride very well over city streets. I've had mine for 2-3 years now and I'm very pleased with them.

But by the same token, I'm ready to ditch them for something stiffer.

GSXs sit higher stock, yes.
