so a guy i know is selling a set of H&R sport springs, 1/7 front, 1.4 rear. i did a search on here and saw that it levels the car out perfectly, the ride is awesome, and they handle great. however, will i need a camber kit for the front? rear? both? im going to use the stock shocks for now, seeing how im leaving for college in 2 weeks and i need to save as much money as possible. i know the risk of blowing the suspenion and how peopel say, do it all at once and save money, however my friend is a mech. and can put them in, take them out, etc etc for free. so im not to worried about that, however when the time comes, what shocks to get for them? i always heard good things on tokico HP's.

thoughts?

what camber kit did you get? and where did you get it from? how hard are they to install?

you will definitely need a camber kit. Your going to blow your shocks within a couple weeks. I have the sport srpings and the front is much lower than the rear which is good for traction in a fwd. But honestly the front of my car is slammed like being on sportlines. I don't think the stockers will hold up very long but i'm running gr2's and have been for 2 years.

well im not getting a front camber kit, the guy that had the springs before siad ther eis no need. i am doing the homemade camber kit for the rear because i know that will need it. i know my stock shocks are going to blow, but im going to college in less then 2 weeks and im trying to save as much money as possible right now. i HOPE my stockers will last a little bit and give me time to buy some shocks, i want tokico HP's but if i can find something used im going to buy them.. so if ayone knows anyone :thumb: i just hope my stockers last a little............ crosses fingers :|

well why don't you put them on when you get the correct setup. Do you care about your car at all. If you do you should wait. Not only are you going to need new shocks but your also going to need new tires every 6 months. YOU WILL NEED A CAMBER KIT. Anything that drops the car more than an inch needs a camber kit. If you knew 1% of how a suspension works you would know that if you drop your car .1 inches it going to throw your camber off. 1.7 inches is goign to mess things up. But hey you'll find out the hard way when your indebt trying to save for other things.
