Hi, I installed half of the shocks/springs of my new GC/Koni yellow setup, but the rears have these directions that say in order to set the rebound rate I have to compress the shocks all the way and twist up to 720degrees. Strangely, there seem to be no endpoints for the twisting, and I can compress both shocks all the way and twist them seemingly endlessly (which I probably shouldn't do). Does anyone know if I'm setting them incorrectly, or if they're malfunctioning? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Also, I know I need an alignment done after its all finished, but I've heard its best to wait till the springs break-in/set, so I guess I should wait a few days before having it done?

Um, you're reading the directions for Koni Reds. Yellows have an adjuster at the top of the shaft. No compressing is necessary.

(Naw, that can't be it. Nobody would be that....)

As to the idea that ERS springs are going to "break in" or "take a set" in a few days, that's hilarious. I know that these things are getting the reputation for sagging, but even their greatest detractors (such as the infamous DG) doesn't claim that they change in just a few days.

Unless you get some sort of weird thrill out of buying tires, get the damned car aligned immediately.
