I have a 1996 Eclipse RS with aftermarked 17inch wheels. I'm wanting to get a set of 2 inch lowering springs for it. The only problem is my friend lowered his Civic this much and it made the tires sit on an angle like his axel was bent, so he had to buy more stuff to get them to work. Will this happen on my car, and if so what do I need to buy to go along with the springs? Thanks guys.

Any time you change the static geometry of your suspension, it will affect the "big 3": Toe, Camber, and Caster. Tirerack has a really good explanation of these items mean.

As you lower the car, you will gain toe out in the front and negative camber and gain toe in in the rear and negative camber. For a street only car, you want to get these items back into factory spec which means an alignment and some additional camber hardware to 'stand the tires up' more.

There has been a lot of discussions about this in the suspension forums. Look it up.
