Suspension Suggestions

Alright folks here is my deal. I have a 98 GS-T that I have done some major stuff to one of the changes being the suspension. I have upgraded the sway bars, changed all the bushings to poly, and added AGX's with Eibach prokit springs (It was the thing to do a few years back, so please don't slam it). The car sits real nice and handles great. I have plans to get it back on the street for this summer and don't trust the current stance the car is at. It sits pretty low, low enough that the intercooler comes pretty close to most curbs if I hit it just right.

Cost not being a factor what is a good handling suspension that would raise the car up a bit? I know RRE used to sell a set that is a coilover setup but I don't see it on there webpage anymore. Give some suggestions that would raise the car a bit and still allow for a tunable suspension for the track (SOLO 2 runs). Thanks!

Tein coilover systems any of them you can adjust height ride will be good and more firm and better for track or autocross

RRE carries JIC now. And for a good reason

But if your looking for something in the mean time......slap GC on your AGXs. But.......I would not suggest you run autox with them.

How much are you looking to spend?

damn..you got a good ass setup already, i don't even know what else will be worth the money to make it better.

how bout you sell me ur setup and then get some tein so that it can be adjustable?

anyways, theres always tricks that you can do so that your handling will be differnt if you want...it has to do with without having the back strut bar..not sure...im kindo drunk right now so iono...

You must be hammered if you think a 2g with AGX/Prokit is a "good ass" suspension.

FLT-A2s with spring rates around 650/550.

ps. I have never heard of a 2G with all poly bushings and AGXs ... cool. Seriously weird, but cool.

sorry to bring up an old post. But i am trying to research poly bushings, jtmcinder why do u think its weird having agx shocks w/ poly bushings. Thats what im gonna do, w/ struts (F&R) and rear sway bar. Prob is im trying to decide on some springs that will ride good w/ a body kit n be able to get over some speed bumps. Why r they such a weird combo?

It's weird because poly bushings are usually a sign of someone who is pretty darned serious. They are a pain to install and you have to touch them up on a regular basis. When you combine this with poor to middling springs and shocks - which I take as a sign of someone who is not that serious, after all - you get a weird combination.

AGX Shocks r poor to middling? What Shocks would u recomend for osmeone who is just looking for a good ride when using aftermarket springs?
