I have a question on a 99 eclipse rs. I just got it today so can't really tell what all equipment it has on it. But here it is, it bottoms out real bad. their is hardly no upward travel in the suspension at all. It sits about 6" off the ground (estimation, didn't actually measure yet) My question is what type of suspension can I put on this that will allow me to keep my current ride height, or close to it without the car jerking thud everytime a wheel hits a bump? Or is this just something you have to live with to have the car that low?

Crawl up underneath and find out what's been done. Someone has either installed some lowering springs, or heated up the springs. Sounds like ya may wanna invest in some new shocks and struts too. See what you're runnin, then somebody could give you a better idea on what to do.
