With limited Shootout Camping info I figured I would make this thread.
Ive stayed at the hotels and most of the campgrounds in the area. The best option IMHO is Milan travel park. Its central between Cedar Point and Norwalk. (10-15 min to either) There are normaly alot of DSM'ers @ this one.
Of course there are also showers&power (this isnt an option @ the track)

Campground's Website -
Home
looks like rates will be..
Camping = $24
w/ electric = $29
Cabin = $75
Park Model = $99 (ive stayed in this before..there better then a hotel IMHO)

I didn't realize the travelpark had cabins and park homes. There website sucks; does anybody have any pictures or any better info on the cabins and park homes? I usualy stay at the AmeriHost, but if wouldn't mind saving a buck.

Ive been inside both - the park models are larger and can sleep like 8 ? Depending on what model you get the bed number vairys. I stayed @ one with 4 other people during the "rain date" shootout. Cost was almost non existant split 4 ways.
There is a small kitchen area and small living room area. ( ya aint getin those @ a hotel )
The cabins are "A" frame style and have a small loft upstairs,there kinda neat also. Sorry no pics :(

I appreciate the info. We've had our room reserved at the AmeriHost for several months already, but we'll drive up to the campground while we're there and check it out, might stay there next year.

Thanks.
