I'm converting my 91 tsi into a full drag car/ weekend warrior and want to delete all the BS wiring inside the car. I already deleted the a/c, heater box and all vent ducting, auto seatbelts, stereo and more. Does anyone have a wiring diagram as to what all these boxes and such in the car function and if i can completely delete them without having problems with the ignition or the engine running? I will be running an aem ems if it matters at all. I have attached some pictures of items that I would like to know their function and if I can get rid of them or not.

Also, does any have a link for the engine bay wiring? there atre multiple wires and plugs that have been cut up and hacked, and I would like to fix them or just get rid of them all together.

Thanks for your time.

First is the ABS control unit.
Second, the big gray box is the automatic seat belt control unit. The wider of the small black relays is the intermittent wiper relay for the rear wiper. The thinner small black relay is the room lamp/dome light relay.
Third is theft alarm control unit.
Fourth is your MPI relay.
Fifth is the "passing control relay" which is involved in the pop-up light circuit.

The only one I am uncertain whether it can be removed or not is the MPI relay. The others shouldn't matter for a drag car.

And this ought to get you in the ballpark for the '91 engine harness: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/412841-1990-engine-control-wiring-harness.html.
