Hope it isn't a foul to post a for sale ad on here but I seen a couple already. Please ignore if you don't feel it's appropriate. I'm leaving for Vegas on Saturday for a week...if not before these should be available when I get back.

Forced Performance FP18G 6SL2....$400
The E16G isn't the best MHI small turbo for spooling/decent power...this is:

Well tuned white. Had to fix the flapper but it opens/shuts just fine.

Intercooler kit for CSMs...$325
Flanged for HKS BOV....there the hot side pipe too but not pictured. You get the idea. The core is 22L x 4W x 8H. I'm not hiding anything with the cardboard, it's safer to handle that way.

I also have an HKS 40mm standard wastegate....$350
No pic because it's in a box. It's the 4 bolt with a 2 bolt dump.

I also have a MHI O2 housing with screamer pipe...$60
No pic because I'm tired of taking pics.

What kind of improvement can be expected with that manifold as opposed to the stock one?

Not a lot unless you have other mods to compliment it. The E3 mani is less prone to cracking and has larger runners and collector, so it has a bit better airflow than the stock 2G. But a ported 2G manifold will get you to the exact same performance level if an upgrade is actually needed.

Oh ok. Thank you for a quick response. Its something to consider.

If you want to max out any bolt-on turbo after everything else has been upgraded, then go with the FP Race manifold from Forced Performance and never look back. If you are upgrading to an aftermarket turbo that isn't a direct bolt-on, then you'll need a different manifold anyway and can start looking into the many options that exist for that.

Otherwise, port your 2g mani and have fun...unless it's cracked.

The exhaust manifold is on the high-pressure side of the exhaust turbine wheel, and just isn't that big of a restriction until you start pushing a pretty decent amount of airflow. The downstream components on the low-pressure side (from the O2 housing to the tail pipe) are much more important.
