My talon has an SAFC, built block, 1mm oversized valves, kelford 264 264 cams, megan racing exhaust, tubular exhaust manifold, 14b turbo, BSE, walboro 255lph, innovative wideband, 550cc injectors, ecm link or flashable ECU will appreciated.

This car is being used to test SSAUTOCHROME and XS-Power's big16g turbo as of right now it has a baby 14b turbo putting down less than 250awhp.

I'm posting this review as I go so I can give a detailed and accurate review of the product and all that it entails. I, like you who are reading this have wondered if a turbo charger that does not have Garrett or Precision stamped on it will preform as well. I am here to walk you through step-by-step and let you know if it's worth your time and money to purchase a turbocharger at a fraction of the cost.

Before this turns into a flaming thread, I just want EVERYONE to know that if I could afford a ball bearing garrett turbo I wouldn't hesitate. However, i'm not made of money and the turbocharger that XS-Power offers fits my budget.

The turbo that is currently on it is a dsm 14b that has a LOT of miles on it.

I purchased the turbo on 12/08/12, the title for the turbo is TD05H-16G Turbo Turbocharger For Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 1 2 3 4-8 TO 450bhp.

You should of just rebuilt the 14b, its a much more reliable turbo. In my opinion that turbo is a waste of money and will cost you more in the long run. But good luck hope it works out for you.

No I haven't missed it that info, I just want to do a good test run of the turbo and see what happens. I'll run it till starts leaking or blows up or I can afford a nice BB turbo.

It's almost as if you are trying to make your car break as fast as possible. Then, you get to buy parts twice.

I had pretty good luck with a ebay 16g actually. It came with the car so I dont know what brand it was. I gave it to someone who used it and then gave it to someone else who still uses it now. We all plugged the wastegate to run high boost and never gave any of us a problem. With that said, it still isn't a good idea. They notoriously suck.

On another note...what happened with the bumper and exhaust?

Take it from me, I bought a rebuilt eBay Big 16g Evo 3 Turbo from Justin a while back, and just to be clear he does fantastic work and I have no complaints, but this turbo is TERRIBLY laggy! Now I don't know if that's due to some other problem I haven't encountered yet, but I am wishing I kept my LEGIT MHI s16g that came with my car originally...but I needed cash at the time so I just sold it. In short, the acceleration by far for the three turbochargers goes something like this:

s16g>14b>>>>>>>...>>>>>eBay Evo 3 Big 16g

Speaking from experience, rebuilding your 14b with a small 16g compressor housing and wheel would make that thing go like stink!

But for you running that turbo PROPERLY, I would recommend these things:

-ECMLink v3 with Speed Density (trust me) (and get someone who knows how to tune it properly like My1gdsm, Stacy is really a pro)
-AT LEAST 680cc Injectors
-Rewire your Walbro for more voltage (kits on eBay for ~$10)
-Ditch the SAFC
-Do an entire maintenance check on everything before jumping into having more [or less] power.

at least the cut out for the intercooler is cut straight.....
