Few upgrades and minor build 97 Gsx
Figured since I have been changing a few things on the car and upgrading a couple of items I would start a build thread.
As of now, CC and PS have been eliminated and I just finished installing the manual 2g rack that I purchased from decoder. Next on the list is to do a battery relocation to the trunk but that will be a minute. Here are just a few quick shots of the car, I will get more better ones when there is something to show.
Also, A few pics of stuff that came in the mail today.
Oh, And a little something else... Another addition to the Gsx family

Oh I'm with you. It's higher or bigger.
Jayson
Update.
Come to find out I didn't have the spline lined up with the rack itself so after installation, I could see where it wouldn't line up.
Removed it again, slid the arm into the rack to correct position and mounted everything back up. Looks much better now.
Also got my Map Eco FMIC yesterday. All that's left to do is install everything now. Will post pics along the way.

Thanks man. Will get some pics of the engine bay up today after work.
Jayson
Alright, Well I got a few more shots of the car today, Really not much to see yet but it will be looking pretty good shortly.
Here is a list of the parts that I have received and will be going on the car or are already on there.
Manual 2G rack
RM racing front and rear sway bar
Apexi N1 Full 3 inch turbo back exhaust
Punishment Racing recirculated O2 housing
Tial MVS external wastegate
FP Red Turbo
FP Intake
Apexi Power funnel intake filter
Mishimoto radiator, Hoses, Fan and fan shroud
ETS FMIC
FIC 1050cc Injectors
Aeromotive compact AFPR/gauge
Walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump with rewire kit
Brand new OEM TPS and ISC sensors that go on throttle body
And last but not least, My original TB rebuilt and looking brand new
Only issue I am having as of now, Is the exhaust is super close to rubbing on the very end of the driveline So I am looking into something to help support it and keep it away from it. Most if not all will be installed this weekend, Then all I lack is getting an alignment and finding an AWD dyno somewhere here in the great state of Tx.
Any input or feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Jayson

Why the hell is the rear gutted like that?
Is an FP red bigger than a 16g,That was hilarious.
Your brakes need a little rust removal, as well as mine do.I have a extra 1g intake manifold. But you would need to port the 2g head.
To support the exhaust, I would look into longer bolts or something to drop it a half an inch or so.That should fix the problem.I can't say for sure with the pics in the thread. But thats where I would start.

To remove all of the sound deadening BS and remove excess wires that don't need to be there. This car had a crazy sound system in it and everything was wired ridiculously good and taped everywhere so I had to take all the panels off to get everything out correctly. Will be going back on shortly.
As for the brake rust, It will come off the first time I drive it and hit the brakes

Haha yea I'm still figuring an idea for the exhaust. The sound system was put in the car before Josh's and my time. My good buddy back home in Cali had it put in when they owned it, And his parents were millionaires and gave him all the money in the world for that car. It was very well taken care of.

Ohh yeah.you moved to texas a few years ago I forgot.
Drove this thing all the way with the fp green on there.
You should have told the millionare buddy, to build the crap out of the engine before u bought it.And If he spent moolah on the system, why were there tones of wires and tape everywhere.

There wasn't tons of system wires, I was referring to the wires that go to unnecessary stock items on the car. The sound system wires were ran under the seats and carpet, Hid and tucked behind anything and everything. The tape was put over the wires to keep them in place, Guess you have never had a sound system. Either way, with all that removed, I cleaned it up best I could and am happy with it.

Yeah I still have two power wires in my cat from back in my 21 year old days.
Damm subs do sure sound good in a hatch.
I Myself should just rewire the pump, and put the battery back in the trunk with the wires that are already ran,and hidden under the seats.
Back to the build at hand.
Ahh Let me know what you figure out on the exhaust? I do like the black piping tho.

Pretty ####ing irritated as of now. Had to remove the tial mvs waste gate off of my pr o2 housing to install correct springs. After spring install, I cannot get that piece of shit back on there. Anyone have a similar situation?

Awesome, man. Post a vid! And the only reason I'm upset is because when I went to the tag agency, they found the title behind a bunch of stuff on a desk. So the teller never did her job lol. I was so depressed to watch that car leave.

All I have to say is wow. I drove the Gsx for the first time today after installing everything.
I absolutely love my lag monster (FpRed). That thing is epic, And surprisingly enough the lag isn't bad. As far as the non power steering rack, It was pretty easy to drive, Even when going slow in a parking lot and turning every which way. Didn't even feel spongy like I have heard people say before and I still haven't had an alignment.
All in all, I'm completely satisfied, Especially with the Red! Great product. Only thing I am not pleased with is the full 3 inch Apexi N1. For being pretty pricey and hyped up, I think it sounds like complete shit. Will be removing and looking for a new exhaust setup soon.
