there's the pics direct linked for others.. looks like that V8 needs a LOT of overhauling done to it though :D

i hope that tpi turd is only for getting it mocked up. no its not an lt1, tpi was before lt1 came out. hopefully your going with an lsx for it

id take a tpi over lti anyday. had a 383 TPI back when i had my 91 firebird. 465 ft lbs of torque at 3800 rpms, and it started with 430 at 2k. granted, it only revved to 5500 and only peaked hp at 355, but still. the thing freight trained, and would roil the 295 KDW's i had on demand. did i mention the 22 mpg highway with a built 700r4?

plus they look sick :D

but my vote would be for an LS motor for sure. a big nasty ls7, or ls9 haha. hell a 5.3 would be kewl too.

Interesting, but my heart just sank after seeing that lift. WTF. :toobad: Guess the non-turbo cars need a heightened sense of modding to be fun. I had a lot of fun with my Esi Talon, never modded it either.

working on it again. its been a few months since i last did. going to run with a 4.3 v6 for now and plan on getting a LS engine. most likely a LS6. got around 50 to 60 hrs to go before its on the street. going to get all the 4wheeldrive stuff back into the frontend tomorrow and get the engine and trans in tuesday and start on the exhaust thursday. going to be showing a young buck how to do body work saturday at my work. so it should be up and going soon

Why that frame? I think an old Jeep frame would have fit better and not have to torture the body as much. I have seen Yugos and Geo Metros lifted on jeep frames and they didn't look that bad. From the pics it looks like the whole frame is to far forward and/or the body is kicked to far back.

the car has a branded title because of the damage to the right quarter panel. theres about a inch of bondow between the door and the wheel well and around that area and lost spark do to water and after over $400 in sensors, computer and coil and it still doing the same thing (random spark for a second every 5 minutes of cranking with any combo of parts and getting the same result) i got tired of putting money into it and decided to go a different rout since it is my n/a eclipse and i had the frame because i plan on building one for my 86 s10 blazer from scratch. if it would have had a clean title and no places with thick bondow i would have continued to track the problem down. so i plan on buying another eclipse that just needs a engine and transplant my 420 into it and turbo it later at 8 psi. the body is that far back do to where the engine sits on the frame. both have the same wheel base but the engine determined where the body sat

It's not to late to slide the body up a bit (unless you welded it to the frame) and then make your own dash. I saw that you already cut out the firewall and trans tunnel so it shouldn't be too much to slide the body forward. I didn't know that you already had a frame lying around because you went from "sports car" to "4X4" without even saying what you used. The jeep frames are more or less the frame of choice for a lot of people that do something like this. Just a thought.

i wanted to keep a working heater since im going to have this road legal so i cant cut ijto the firewall anymore and it will still give access to the distributor with no problem.ive already have the firewall and tunnel welded back in place and have 4 of the 10 frame to car mounts already done and the steering. got to adapt the brakes together and get the engine plus trans in. everything on the car still works after i cut all the engine wire harnass out that i dont need. i plan with n taking this onthe sand dune 30 minutes away from wher i live in oregon and in 3 months to tillamook state forest 200 miles north

I guess some ppl can't stand to see someone's else's likes and feel like being less of a person instead of saying something like "that's not what I would have ever done to my car ever but each to his own" instead of telling me to kill the car. Let me guess your a fanboy who plays Xbox and would never play a ps3. I'm a PlayStation guy but will play Xbox too. As long as something does not effect my life in a bad way or is illegal i let ppl do what they want because I'm not them. So if you have anything bad to say. Don't say anything. I'm one of the nicest ppl you will ever meet . I help ppl all the time. Even ones I don't know with no profit to me

I gave my unbiased opinion. 1 was the use of the frame & 2 to slide the body up further. As for access to the distributor, you could have made a "dog box" like in the old full sized vans. I'm all down for crazy builds but I was just trying to give a little incite from what I have seen done in the past. As for heat, my wife's ac control panel went out last year so all I did for a quick fix was buy a small box heater from walmart and plugged it into a power inverter. It's fixed now but it got us by until i could get to the salvage yards.
