New project this year is to convert my 5 speed 1997 Talon AWD to an Auto, and go after that 8 second mark while keeping the car streetable. The car has gone 9.6@159Mph with the 5 speed, at 3250lbs. And when it comes to auto's the natural choice is the crew at English Racing, thanks to Lucas, Jeff, Arron, and Myles. I hope I can tuck into the draft behind you guys
I will still be running a full sequential Spark Tech ignition system, but pretty much everything else on the car is going to be changed, and I mean everything! Going to be running Comp triple as usual on the car as it has all been an outstanding performer both in power and spool but also in durability. More to come

Sorry that was an old video here is the video of the 9.6@157Mph pass
9.6@157Mph
Whats left of my old 300M upgraded 5 speed transfer case

And the new auto transfer case after machining for the larger 300M output shaft and re- setting clearances.

So besides an all new engine, trans setup, I'm also redoing the whole chassis. Out with the 8.5 NHRA certified cage and in with the new 25.4 certified chassis. This is going to be alot of fabrication cause I'm going to do it in the car using what I can from the exsisting cage.

More parts for the auto swap my Kiggly 6 bolt SFI flex plate, ready to bolt up

New 6 bolt to 2G Auto adapter plate

Thanks for sharing the build with us.
"Street driven 8 second" are your key words. On the street you'll never know what time your car runs, so his goal of 8 seconds tells me he plans on racing at a track. He also says street driven, not street racer. We don't condone any street racing here bro.
