shifter is.. hard to move...

all the sudden, moving my shifter up and won (3rd to 4th, 2nd to 3rd.. etc) is like.. im pushing it though play doh,, or something, happened all the sudden..

I disconnected the cables and shafted the trans by hand and all feels well, so its something in the cable (up and down) not the trans.. any ideas???

have you checked your cables for damage? Does anything look bent at the tranny (like the bracket with two bolts that holds the cables)? Have you taken a look under the shift cover inside the car?

Well i fixed it, it turns out the cable itself was kinked somehow (missed shift i guess) and was rubbing inside the plastic sleave, i straightened it out (harder than sounds) and now ts good.
