Problem: Timing belt stripped some teeth and slipped, murdering my stock motor. Right now I've a crate replacement sitting outside, imported from Japan. It's got under 30-40k miles on it. The thing is, I don't know exactly what year (aside that it's 1g) it is, or if it's off an AWD or FWD. My compression numbers and warante (which the company I ordered the motor through is sending me) havn't arrived yet (which will give me some impression to what the motor's condition is).
So, I need to know that if the replacement motor I've got turns out to have been FWD, what all will I have to do in order to fit it into my AWD?
I'm keeping my current tranny, so will I need to replace my Fly Wheel, or...?
Thanks in advance. I can get pictures if necessary by tomarrow.

If you take off the A/C keep the bracket. Cut off the corner of the bracket that spaces the half shaft mount. it goes between the block and the shaft mount and is held on by one of the 2 bolts.
