My axl e will not stay completely in the transmission. The splinned end works free and eventually disengages the diff but still remains partially in the tranny. The car has never been in an accident. It just seems that the circlip is not doing its job. I already replaced the clip with a new one, but i can pull the axle out of the tranny with my fingers instead of a pry bar. Does any one know what goes bad in the tranny to make this problem occur? I've pretty much deduced that I have to remove the transmission, but I would kind of like to know what to begin looking for. Thanks.
