1g tranny into a 2g?

my buddy has a 97 talon turbo fwd auto and wants to convert to manual. now i know its been done the converting buy my question is this. will a 1g turbo fwd tranny work on a 2g? thanks

No it won't work. The 2G trans has 3 motor mounts on it. The 1G trans only has one.

I am glad you asked this question. I have a 97 GSX auto I want to convert to a 5 speed. Which parts off of a 90 GSX can I use if I do the swap?
