Car acting like it wants to pop out of gear

I have a 95 talon AWD 5 spd. I purchased it wrecked, t-boned in the side. I just got it back from the body shop and have been doing tune-ups and putting it back together. I was told that the car has a ACT 2600 but everything else is stock. The clutch is pretty stiff and it doesnt like to go into any of the gears very easy especially 1st and reverse. Today i changed my fuel filter and my oil and went on a test drive and to get some gas. When i shifted into second i noticed that it went into gear really easy and it continued throughout all of the gears. It also acts like it wants to pop out of gear in 2nd and 4th, when i let out the clutch after shifting into one of those gears and start to let go of the shifter the shifter moves forward about 2 inches. It doesnt pop out of gear but it never did this before. It also seems to go deeper into each gear like i went from a short throw shifter to a stock one(mine is stock).

I have no clue about transmissions and would like any insight anyone has.

Just in case anyone is interested I got the problem fixed. It turns out that the bracked that holds the shifter cables in place under the hood had came loose. Both of the bolts that secure the bracket had somehow worked thier way out. Anyway i put it all back together and presto everything works great now.

I just used up my once in a lifetime easy fix for a problem with a car.
