2G-specific clutch problems, cant get into gear

ok, my friends 2g tsi fwd wolnt go into gear, it goes in fine with the car shut off. the trans is freshly rebuilt from john shepard with less then 1k on it, so i doubt theres anything wrong inside it

so the master cylinder was leaking for the last month or so, it poiped about a week ago, so we replaced it. then we bleed the clutch and it wolnt go into gear(we have obtained the exact same M.C. that was in the car before just to be safe, its brand new)
we also replaced the slave cylinder to make sure that wasnt the problem

we put everything back together, bleed the clutch(using the bleeder tool with the pressure guage on it), and still the same problem

the clutch has the proper pressure, but the car will not go into gear(we got it into gear a few times, but it requires you to put the clutch as far to the floor as it will go, and its still hit or miss weather it will go into 1st or not)

i just want to know if anyone thinks they know what the problem is. we are thinking its the throwout berring or its pin thats messed up, rob at extreme said that could very well be the problem.
the thing is we dont want to drop the tranny untill we are absolutly sure we need to, its not all that easy to get out

thanks in advance for any help

I had the same problem after I converted from auto to manual, its the shift cables, adjust them at the shifter because whats probably happening is you have good pressure but when you shift there is not enough throw. And like you guys she shifted fine when the car was'nt running. Remove your shifter counsel and adjust them at the shifter. Also take 2 of these and call me in the morning. J/k. gooodluuck
