i just installed the 2600 with afew of my buddies...it only took us 3 and a half hours when working on it.

what i was wondering was. I broke it in on the recommended miles 200. I was boosting and testing it out. No slipping. I launched...####ed of the launch and bogged it. Ok whatever, no clutch smell. I launched it twice today to get the feel for it. Both times it didnt slip but the last time i either smelled tires or clutch. Actually i think it was both. I am almost positive that it was my clutch...but...it didnt slip. I broke loose on the launch and half way into 2nd gear i was spinnin. As soon as i smelt clutch i just pulled into the drivway and let it cool down...I did go back out and test it. It holds perfectly fine no slipping

Did i do anything that was bad to the clutch?
I dont think i did. I know people that smell clutch from the 2600. I just heard thats how hard it hits and grabs.

My friend has an 11 second laser...somteims u smell it sometimes u dont...Hes had his for like good year and a half. And it holds damn good. No slipping

I know this was long and part of it was useless. I was just tryin to get the point across.

The real question is...Did i really hurt that clutch at all? Smelling it isnt always bad right? or is it?

Damn clutch lets out so low now...

launching isnt good for any clutch -- so doing it for no reason is kind of dumb. ya will create hot spots in both the clutch and flywheel.
as long as your not one of those people that likes to creep back and forth at lights glazing the $hit out of the clutch im sure you new clutch is fine. providing the install was proper, etc.
btw- you should have no prob telling the diff from clutch smell and rubber.
just my .02
