will a 3 bolt auto rear fit on m/t ?

I broke my rear right axle or 3 bolt rear off a hard launch at the track via welded diff, a friend of mine has a spare 3 bolt rear off an automatic 91 . Since mine is also a 91 but m/t, will it fit as well, and are the axles the same? Can I sawp just the right axle in and get it to work. I know about the 4 bolt rear , but I'm trying to avoid that since im selling the car soon.

I think the axles are the same, as far as I know just the gears are different between the MT and AT rear ends in the same year.

Cant find any aftermarket ones though
