Hey guys
i have a extra automatic 4 bolt rear which has a different gear ratio then the 5 speed rear. My question is can i use the 4 bolt axles with axle cups and mate it with a 3 bolt rear diff from a 5 speed car. Will the final outcome be a 4 bolt rear or is the true weakness of the 3 bolt rear within the diff rather than the axles. Info would be greatly apreciated.

p.s im posting on my girlfriends name....i dont have a gs-t

The 4 bolt axels will not fit the 3 bolt rear end. The have the same gearing but the splins on the axels that go into the pumkin are thicker and will not fit the 3 bolt rear. So you would have to get a full 4 bolt rear end. :D

oh yea sorry the weakness of the 3 bolt is the thickness of the axels them selfs the thicknes of the splines that go into the axels. Plus being held to the hub with 4 bolts beats 3 bolts
