Hi, ever since I bought my car, I have had this wierd on and off problem with a knockling/popping noise that seems to be happening in the front passanger side of the car. I get a knock/pop sometimes when the clutch is beging engaged and most of the time it happends while I coast at low speeds. The noise only happens when I am moving and it also happends while I have the clutch pressed down sometimes. I tried to bring it to my machanic but of course once I get there it stops. It happens on and off a couple of times each month and I have no clue what is causing it. It happens the most slowing down from 25MPH but every once and awhile it will happen in a higher gear and the noise will be alot faster that it was in the lower gears. Any advice I would apperciate. Thanks. Oh, I can also feel it in my steering wheel when I get the noise, it the vibrations go to the same beat as the noise.

My machanic looked at the CV joints and axles and said they looked fine and felt fine when he turned them. :(

Try taking a look at your swaybar bushings. If they're worn to the point that they're torn, they can be slipping and allowing the swaybar to come into contact with the chassis under certain loads.

try the front engine monunt, i had the same noise when i got my car. my front engine mount was blasted
