2G Automatic to Manual?

i drive a dsm with a turbo 4g63 engine in it... pretty nice for mods n stuff, BUT it's an automatic... it just doesn't seem to fit the car. has anyone ever messed with changing the transmission from automatic to manual in a dsm?

ANY feedback what-so-ever would be helpful! even if you wanna call me crazy for wanting to try or something, heh. any info at all would be very helpful.

ALOT. It's a massive undertaking. I did this on a 1969 H/O 442, from the stock 4-speed, dual gate auto to a stronger (Though still Hurst) 4-speed manual. It took me about 2 weeks to get it all ironed out, and I didn't have a computer to deal with. It's not for a weekend warrior, either learn to love the simplicity of driving, or trade up to a different car.
