Transmission Auto or 5seed

I have two Talons. One is a 92 Tsi 5seed and one is a 92 auto The transmission has came out of my auto can I put a 5seed in it. A rebuild auto is $1700 and I would have to do the work to put in a 5seed. Would I be better off getting a rebuild or putting in a 5seed.

It would be cheaper to just rebuild the auto, but a 5 speed is much more fun
