1G Ticking coming from rear in reverse

Ok I have a 92 laser with a 4 bolt rear, going forward I hear Absolutly NO whining or clicking. However when I reverse I hear "Tick.Tick........"

Every thing in the quotes represents 1 revolution of the tires.

Ive searched around to see and I have yet to fine any answers.

Im soon going to Drain the rear diff and see if that is the problem. Honeslty I really hope it isn't because in the words of most DSMers. My car runs well ( meaning im broke ).

Usually a low frequency ticking sound is from the inner CV joint on the axles.

It's still a good idea to check the diff and wheel bearings, too.

to tell the truth it sounds more like a piece of tin thwaping something but Ill get one of my friends to reverse my car while I listen.

check to see if any sheet metal under the car is coming loose. Make sure the car is parked first!

Im starting to think it is the brake shims, Could they be ticking? it is definatly coming from the passenger rear part of the car Thanks for your guys help if any.
