Tranny swap..Will this work???

Does anyone know if a non-turbo's automatic will swap into my turbo awd? My tranny right now is a 5-speed but 1st and 2nd are messed up in it and i found a good deal on an automatic but it is in a non-turbo. Can i do this and will the automatic hold up all right? Any input will be appriciated..

if its a FWD tranny it wont work. if its a AWD tranny i think it will work. but i would just look for a rebuilt one. or rebuild the one you got now. i mean would a rebuild be that much more than this automaic? also if you do a manula to auto swap youll have to modify all the interior stuff to suir an auto. that would be more extra money. in the long run itll be cheaper to get a manual.

Well correct me if im wrong but i dont think they make a non-turbo awd... Also i wouldnt have to mod any interior because, i am buying a wrecked talon and i could use the interior out of it, along with the tranny. And yes, the manual rebuilt is gonna be about 400 bucks more than the parts car im buying... Anyone who knows more about this swap, let me in on the information... Thanks

Why would anyone want to convert a M/T AWD car into A/T FWD? In any case, since the M/T car is not wired for the A/T tranny, you'd need the A/T tranny harness, TCU, shifter + cable and pedal assembly, flex plate and TC as well.
Converting A/T car to M/T is much easier and cheaper than the other way around. My advice: Don't do it. You'd greatly regret ever attempting the swap once you'd fully realize what it actually takes.
