funny noises in driveline

Ok, during accel, and cruise you dont hear a peep. But on decell in gear, I hear, what can be described as a "RUMRUMRUMRUMRUM" lowering slightly in pitch with each "RUM". My buddy thinks its the TF case. It sounds like its coming from the middle/rear of the car. Anyhting to worry about? Or is it just normal AWD noises?
