best way to pull tranny.

im looking for the easiest way to pull the tranny from my 92 tsi awd.
it has abs.. so im thinking of taking it out the bottom..

it has been real easy pulling everything so far... so im just guessing the fun is just starting...

u would have to pull out a hell of alot more then just the abs to get it out the top, ur going to have to take out quite a few things just to get to the bolts for the tranny, after getting to them u just have to unhook ur axels and everything else thats connected to the tranny, then pull out everything else thats inbetween the tranny and the ground(its not all that much to remove), then just stick a jack under ur trans and unbolt it, u can lower the jack and pull it right out through ur wheel well
u would need some type of engine crane to pull it out the top anyway, ur not going to be able to pull it out of the engine bay by hand no matter how strong u are, its just too akward to get to, its so much easier to take it out the bottom, iv swapped several trannys and iv taken them all out the bottom

the transfercase, axles and driveshaft are all out.
just have to pull the tranny today i hope if the weather can hold out long enough for me to get it done...

got it out.... really easy... pulled it right out the bottom...
not as heavy as i thought it would be...
