I had tranny rebuilt and a Clutchmasters HDSB from extrememotorsports.com installed early this year. about 1 month ago, I noticed a higher pitch whine when cruising and found out by just depressing the clutch the slightest bit (not disengaging it) it would go away. about a week ago, on the interested in 5th i punched it and the clutch slipped, then a few days later 4th, now 3rd. the release point is very high now also and it slips between gears a bit but in first and second it holds fine and higher in the rpms in 3rd it will be fine. Is the clutch toast for sure, is it possibly a throwout bearing problem, and is it possible just to replace the disc, or pressure plate.

thanx in advance

chances are the disc is shot, the pressure plate should be fine, did u get the full face street disc or did u get the race disc thats not full face? cause my friend had a clutchmasters 2500lb that he ordered from import direct and it came with the race disc, the clutch lasted about 4-5 months of daily driving and racing, he blew his tranny the gear it threw hit the pressure plate,so we pull it off and the clutch disc had about 2 days of life left on it

yea now its totally slipping every gear, im pretty sure its the street disc, i didnt put it in but it definately wasnt a 4, or 6 puck disc

you mentioned something about the whinning noise during clutch disengagement/engagement. This could the root cause of the slipping clutch. Slap on some new throw out bearing. Make sure to grease the sleeve of the bearing. Good luck.
