Heres what i have:1992 talon tsi that i JUST REBUILT THE ENGINE IN AND INSTALLED A NEW CLUTCH. I am having lots of problems and cant seem to find out what is wrong. The biggest problem is the tranny. When i am at a COMPLETE STOP I can shift into first no problem, when i shift to second it grinds, and if i dont hold pressure on the shifter it WILL POP OUT OF 2nd ONLY. When i am moving i CANNOT DOWNSHIFT FROM 3rd into second without a FIRM HARD SHIFT AND IT STILL WILL GRIND A LITTLE, DOWNSHIFTING FROM 2nd TO 1st is near IMPOSSIBLE UNLESS YOUR TOTALY STOPPED. WHAT CAN THIS BE? Is it the SYNCROS OR CAN I JUST ADJUST MY CLUTCH PEDEL. THe pedel does have a good amount of free play in it and feels like it is very soft and easy to push in without a lot of effort. HOW CAN I ADJUST IT TO MAKE IT FEEL BETTER, OR SHOULd I BLEED IT, I read the Haynes manual and it says to undo the locknut on the cruise control switch and screw that out more, but that is not really gonna help since when i look under the dash on the right i see a lot of free movement in the rod that connects to the pedal assembly. ANY INFO ON WHAT AND HOW TO DO IT IS REALLY APRECIATED, I AM NEW TO DSM CARS.
Thanks
Tom

syncros or blocker rings. when i take this tranny apart i want to fix it but people tell me that syncros usually dont go bad, its the BLOCKER RINGS that go before them.
