alright well i bought my self a 92 TSi with a bad head so they loaded it up on one of those little trailers where only the front two tires are on. i wasnt there when they did this but mid way thru the trip from their shop to mine (around 10 miles) the rear end locked up. and the car started jumping around. so they called me and i arranged a flat bed to come by and pick it up. but the car moves. like u can push it and the all the wheels roll. why do u guys think it locked up? maybe the transfer case? and also does the N/T awd tranny have good gear ratios? thanks alot for ur help

I didn't think the NT was available with AWD? A friend of mine had a '90 FWD NT that the back end would start grinding and shuddering on if you sustained more than 45mph for 10 minutes or so... Never found the problem, ended up scrapping the car due to it having a bazillion and 1 things wrong with it.

well the nt awd tranny came out of a 90" galant GSX awd non turbo. its the version before the vr-4.

i believe your not supposed to tow a AWD car on two wheels only (maybe its only if you have an LSD, check your door jam) go to your local jeep/eagle dealer and have them check out your transfer case, its a recalled item so its a free repair if it hasnt been done already

wonderful!! just what i needed! well ill be ripping the engine apart anyway and have an extra t-case and tranny so i think ill switch it over so i dont take any questions. i was just wondering if the gear ratios on the nt awd tranny are the smae as fwd nt ratios.thanks guys for ur help
