I just got the engine out of my 92 tsi and i dont like what i see. The bell housing is all wet inside and there seems to be rubber pieces everywhere, I dont know where rubber would come from at all, it seems to be really hard rubber and there are pieces about the size of a nickel and about 1/4 inch thick, ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE, AND WHY THE INSIDE OF THE BELL HOUSING IS ALL WET, THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF LITTLE RUBBER UP NEAR THE STARTER, The rest is all clutch dust, and 4 of the 6 springs are MISSING OUT OF THE CLUTCH DISC. I am going to resurface the flywheel and put a new clutch in but i dont want to waste my time is it is gonna get ruined from the residue inside of the bell housing, plus i cant figure the rubber part out, i think that maybe it is from a boot inside of the starter, ANYONE GOT ANY INFO FOR ME ON THIS??
O,AND HOW DO I GET THE SPEEDO CABLE OUT OF THE BACK OF THE TRANNY,I TOOK THE BOLT OUT AND IT WONT COME OUT OF THE CASE.
