Clutch question from a noob

Ok, so i have a 96 Eclipse GS. when i first bought the car, the clutch went out on it. I had a stock one reinstalled and then i went on about my bussiness. Just the other week, it goes out again, after 11k miles. This time when i replace the clutch i want to upgrade to something better, with hopes that it might last me a couple more thousand miles. I was looking at the ACT w/ 2600 lbs plate but im not sure if thats what i want. With all the talks of engine damage and clutchwall or something, im really unsure. Just asking for a little advice on my situation.

ACT 2100 will do you fine

seeing that ur non-turbo(if u had turboed ur gs it would be a different story, i dont know if ur gs is still non turbo) a 2600 would be overkill, its really unnesicary, a 2600 is made to handle heavy load of launching high powered turbo cars, but a 2100 will propbally work well for u, or a clutchmasters stage 1 would be perfect for ur car, my friend out aCM stage1 in his non-turbo 3000gt and he is very happy with it
and if ur cl7utches areburning oyt that fast there has to be a problem somewhere, a band new stock clutch should last for a long time if u installed it properly and had the flywheel machined, if it really wore out in 11k there4s either a mechanical problem with ur car or ur not driving very well and burning out the clutch

I tried to buy the ACT clutch w/ 2100 lbs plate.. and i was told that it is only for turboed cars.. is there an alternate clutch that is just as good as this one? or can i still get the clutch and have it installed just fine?
