what tranny parts would you buy with $500

I have the 98 gst spyder and I am doing the a/t to m/t swap. I was going to send the tranny out and have it built but the funds or the time I have to do this is no longer there and I need to get this done soon. What do you guys suggest I get for my tranny. I have everything for the swap and a lightened flywheel as well as the 2600 clutch. I am looking to have a dependable daily driver here but would like to get close to 12s on the track as well. I will be able to spend $500 give or take a few hundred, I am really only looking for the necessities here so no "short throw shifters" just stuff that is more than likely to go bad soon after I put this tranny in. Most Important

1. Double synchro kit for 2nd gear.

2 New factory synchros for all others usually in STD trans rebuild. New bearings, end nuts etc.. "wear parts"

3 LSD


Options

Billet shift forks and stronger shift rails.

Lots of ways to go but probably just 1-3.

Do the short throw later :laugh:

You want to do what you can to it while it's out. External mods (shifter) can wait. Get as much good guts in there as you can and fresh bearings.
