Ok. Im about to buy a 92 eagle talon tsi awd 5spd. The car is in really good shape and it only has 89k miles. However, whenever i shift into 2nd the car makes this grind or crunch noise. The guy that owns it just had a new clutch put in last week and it just started making the noise after the new clutch. Also, when he drives the car, it makes the noise going from 2nd to 3rd. I think it must have something to do with RPMs when shifting. I dont know much about this but one of my friends thinks it just may be a linkage that needs tightening. Put its a different grind...not like a gear grind. Please help. I need to make sure its nothing major before i buy it. Thanks.

Oh and BTW the reason that the guy replaced the clutch is because he fried it one night while he was drunk. Would this most likely be a synchro situation?
