If I remove the transfer case and driveshaft. And drive without them will it hurt anything. I don't think it will.

Just want to do it for fun.

I have had them off before it doesn't take long.

broken center diif and viscous coupling.
 
Uh, hold on. Do you have a welded center diff or VC eliminator? If not, you could damage the VC easily. If you really want to try it, go ahead, just don't try do go too far after it starts to feel like the clutch is constantly slipping and the car won't go over 10 MPH.
