I recently had my 92 AWD tranny rebuilt ( all new synchros) after breaking my 3-4 shift fork. I put a master cylinder rebuld kit in and a slave rebuild kit in and adjusted it the best I could. I lengthened the pushrod on the slave but it still grinds second terribly over 4500 and sometimes pops out of 1st when I first oput it in and take off. I adjusted the cables a little but it realy didn't seem to need any. I took the bushings out of the mount for the shifter but left the rubber in and tightened the bolts back down. That helped the feel but nothing else. I also broke my 3-4 shift fork again the day I got it back from the shop.
THIS SUCKS!!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

flush out the clutch fluid and get some GM synchromesh fluid.
I heard this will smooth out your shifts and take away the grinds.
bottle of this cost around $15-$17

I found out what the problem was....
My car has a Centerforce DF in it, when it was put in the ball behind the fork should have been shimmed and it wasn't.
I plan to get my tranny back together and in the car by this weekend.

If that didn't fix it, I GIVE UP!
