Ok, so this morning I go to install an ACT 2100 clutch and a re-surfaced flywheel that I ordered from Extreme Motorsports. Well I opened the package with everything in it to inspect the parts before I started tearing down the car for the install (thank God I checked the parts first!) The first thing I noticed was the stock re-surfaced flywheel they sent me was missing 2 out of the 3 dowel pins that the clutch pressure plate slides onto. First off, why are these even missing? And secondly, how could Extreme not notice this while resurfacing the flyhweel and before packing it up to ship to me? I'd assume it wouldn't be a good thing to install this flywheel, right? I tried to call Extreme first thing this morning to talk about it but unfortunately they are closed on Saturdays. Now I have wasted an entire Saturday that I took off of work to do this clutch install because I was too worried to use this flywheel. Can anyone tell me if this flywheel is ok, or if I should just tell Extreme to send me another one since the core I will be sending them once it finally comes off my car won't be missing any dowel pins?
Thanks!
