Well, one of my carrier bearings has gone bad so I was going to replace both of them. But, I read something about putting silicone inside of the carrier bearings. For anyone who has done this "SILICONE MOD", did it do any good for your carrier bearings??? And for anyone who has replaced there carrier bearings at a shop, was is expensive???

What should I do???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

There are two parts to the support bearings. First is the actual ball bearings, and there's the rubber supporting the bearing. Filling them with silicone only helps if the rubber boot that holds the ball bearing part is shot. If the bearings don't spin smoothly anymore, then you need new bearings. On my car the rubber support was torn, so I just filled it with silicone caulking and that worked fine.
