I put a act2600 in my car and i just found out that they bend the clutch fork and well mine is bent (damn the performance shop that didnt tell me) so i need to replace it with a good strong one does anyone know where to get a heavyduty clutch fork?

thanks

I don't think your clutch fork is bent, it is cast and would break first. Your problem is most likely your master cylinder, slave cylinder, poorly adjusted master cylinder or bubbles in hydraulics. I would check those out before you drop your tranny again. 2600 are pretty hard on your hydraulic systyem. Good luck!

I already replaced the master and slave twice and all lines are fine system bleed to many times to count and master rod adjusted (I did adjust it out and the pedel got hard for like day or two then i get in the car one mourning and started driving it it became soft adjusted it again some more and then it was good for a hour or two and then it started sliping sliping so i figured i adjusted it to far out the clutch has only 1600 miles on it and i havent even drove it hard once anyways so i adjusted it out and it doesnt slip now and it hold but no pedel pressure and it has a little pressure for a inch or 2 and it shift fine when you rev it 3000 plus so the only thing i can think is that it is the fork or the pressure plate or they diddnt resurface the flywheel to act specs. Thats all it could be maybe the throw out bearing i did use the oem from the dealer and this is really getting anoying anyone please help or give opion but please stat if opoion or real fact.

thanks

I'm going to ramble a little about how I adjust my master cylinder, cause I was going through them every few weeks. First I back out the clutch cut switch all the waythen I adjust the rod to where it feels good. Once I do that I check and make sure that I can spin the slave cylinder rod with my fingers, this makes sure you aren't putting constant pressure on the flywheel and heating it up and ruining it and your clutch. Now you should find that if you press the clutch pedal slightly with your hand iy is alot easier to spinn the adjustment rod, this is the piont you want to lower your clutch cut switch to. When I used to adjust mine I wouldn't do the last step with the clutch cut switch, I would just lower it enough to hit the switch, and I was going through master cylinders like crazy. But I have had the one I have now in for quite some time with no problems.

So, it could still be your master cylinder but you are very right about the flywheel mabye not being machined correctly. If you do end up pulling the trans again try and replace the fulcrom with another factory one and put a small washer on it when you reinstall it. I figured you knew most of this but I thought I would throw it out there just incase.

does the fork look noticaly bent because i just pulled my tranny today as a last resort after replacing everything else (clutchmaster, slave, and i bled the bloody hell out of it) and the fork doesnt look bent, i have a 2600 with a gst tranny in my 91 GS, and it wont go into any gears while the car is on gettin really pissed with this situaation now:mad: also what the hell is the fulcrom? the fork? and elaborate on the washer thing please

Like I said before you won't bend the for you will only break it. The fulcrom is the pivot ball for you clutch fork, that is located right inside the bell housing, where the fork goes through. The washer is placed in between that and the bell housing, just unscrew it and put a washer on and screw it back in. Good luck!
