ok like 3 weeks ago i raced this kid and i messed up my tranny or somthing. It started out just with 2nd gear like when i try to put it into it, it isn't smooth. it kinda clicks at the end. and now it will barely go into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. the gears work good once i get it into gear so is that the tranny or what?? please help

It sound like some worn out synchros, or possibly bent shift forks. One of those things that is bound to happen with these cars.

You don't BEND a shift fork, you just BREAK them. They are cast aluminum. It's like trying to bend a pretzel. Doesn't happen. It sounds like your shift lever needs adjusting since all of the gears that are affected are on the downstroke of the shifter (2,4,R). take off the cneter console, adjust the cable on the RIGHT, and try again.

ok i know how to take off the center console but how do u adjust the cables. i have seen them down there when took off the shift boot but which one do i do and what do i do to it??? thank u so much.

There are 2 end nuts on either side of a very long looking nut. You loosen the 2 end nuts, then turn that long nut to adjust the linkage. Once you have found the desired setting, tighten the 2 end nuts back up and you are done.

ok i tried it on the one that is below and kinda to the right of the shifter itself. i loosened one nut and then just twirled the whole bolt around by the other nut. is that right??? idk but it didn't really work so.....

The cable you should have adjusted would have been attached to the bottom of the shifter lever itself. If that doesn't help, then it's something internal. Sounds like you may have broken a shift rail or bent the shift levers on the outside of the tranny. Take it to a tranny shop.
