i am wondering how a n/t tranny compares to a turbo tranny in terms of ratios. i heard that the turbo tranny is a close ratio transmission. does anybody have any numbers of the ratios?

They are close!

For 1991
N/T:
3.363 first
1.947 seond
1.285 third
.939 fourth
.756 fifth

4.322 final

Turbo:
3.090 first
1.833 second
1.217 third
.888 fourth
.741 fifth

4.153 final

There are other differences! It looks like the turbo gearbox (FM333 series) uses tapered roller bearings, while the N/T (FM22 series) uses ball bearings on the input shaft.

Hope this helps!

not to be a pain but is the n/t a 1.8 n/t or a 2.0 n/t? i assume that the turbo tranny #s are from a FWD. am i correct in assuming this?
