I was wondering what is the best fluid to use in the transfer case.
I have 3qts of GM synchro. for the Transmission.
1qt of red line 75w90 for the rear diff.
but i am not sure what to use on the transfer case. I talked to redline today and they recommeded 1/2 mtl90 and 1/2 75w90. Is there any else, or is it even ok to use the GM synchro.

I've heard of this coming from Redline before. And I'd listen to anything they say: you're dealing firsthand with one of _the_ most outstanding, customer-aware companies on the planet.
Next time, and for others, use Pennzoil Synchromesh in place of GM: same product, $4.50/bottle, and you don't have to wrestle it out of a GM parts salesman- many of whom seem to derive all their entertainment from dicking with anyone who's not a $500-a-week customer.

yeah, i have been allover, myzero, and rre. but to tell you the tech at redline did not recommend the shock proof, he recommended the mix and the 75w90.

let me know what type of fluid you are using in you transfer case, and how it has worked out for you.
