2G Sportronic Tranny

my car is an auto...but i regret getting an auto cuz now i want a 5 speeder...that get me thinkin...can i fit a 3G Sportronic shifter in a 2G??? different engine i know that...can those V6 3G engine be fitted in 2g??? i've never seen or heard one being done (V6 and Sportronic on a 2G)

I think you'd be better off just selling your car and buying a 3g eclipse if you really wanted to do that.

SUPPOSEDLY it is possible to fit a 3.0/V6 into our engine bay. Around me, there is a shop called Big Boys Toys that claims they dropped a 3KGT-SL motor into an Eclipse RS. I was told the dash had to be cut, and a whole mess of custom mounts were fabricated. Mind you though, this is a lot of 3rd hand information that I can not prove nor disprove. In theory, if you had unlimited funds ANYTHING is possible. You can fit a Viper motor into a DSM and drive from the backseat if you wanted. z. But for practical purposes I would suggest you buy a 3G if you wanted that motor/tranny setup.

are you sure you have a 95 Eclipse w/ turbo?
I just find it weird someone with a turbo will want a 3G engine just for the tranny

mind me i'm just wondering...but then again dont 3g is as fast as gst & gsx? does anyone have a 3g here? is 3g even allowed here? it seems like no one likes 3g cars around here...
