It would not be the best idea. Actually, unsprung puck clutches are not the best idea when used with an ACT pressure plate. With that AWD system something has to be able to give a little bit. It is better the clutch slip a little than to explode your transmission. Trust me, i know. I grenaded my tranny 2 days after i installed my puck setup.

So you think a 2600 pressure plate with a street disk would be better? i think i can get it for like $370

keep in mind i have a big16G and im gettin ready to spray a 50 shot.

I just put a ACT 6 puck in my 92 AWD with a stock pressure plate. I was trying to spend as little money as possible on my so called "cheap" daily driver, and a 6 puck is cheaper than any street disk. I also wanted to try it out to see what its like for my other car.

It drives almost the same a stock, you just have to be a little smoother. I had my girlfriend driving it tonight, and its only the second 5 spd she has ever driven.

I'll have to wait and see how it treats the tranny.

If you look at all of the fastest DSM's, they all run street disks. There is a reason for this. An unsprung disk will beat the hell out of your tranny. John Shepherd runs 9.3 on his street disk, why would you want anything more?
