Hey guys. Sorry to be the lil guy and ask such a lame question but, on some of the reading i do they say that as the HP goes up the Mod of a Stonger Trans is a most. well the most i have ever done on a car for Trans wise is a 2600 ACT cluth. So i was wanting some opions on what would have to be done to hold around 400HP.

PS can somone explain what a Syncro* is and what it does:rolleyes: ya i know thats a dumb one :(

ive been reading and i hear that some people go with like a Doubel Syncro for first and 2nd? can somone explain that to me or am i on drugs:rolleyes:

As somebody said, synchros make it so you can shift without grinding gears. Synchros eventually wear out, especially with high rpm, fast shifting. Double synchros won't wear out as fast as single synchros. You could handle 2nd and 3rd synchros usually go first, so reinforcing them helps, I'm not sure about the 1st gear synchro deal. To handle 400hp an ACT2600 should do the job, and on FWD cars an LSD is a must with that much power, you probably don't need one for an AWD, but it wouldn't hurt.

Hey thanks for the help. Would you or anyone eles have a link where i can read up on Syncros?
