I am getting my car (1999 GSX) back from the dealership tomorrow morning (It was finished this afternoon, but I'm out of town) I have heard that there in no need to break in a brand new transmission, but I also heard that transmissions that driven easely for the first couple hundred miles tend to last a little longer under hard driving later on. So I plan on breaking mine in. I have a few questions for those experianced DSM folks on here. After I get the car back, how long should I drive it softly? How long should I wait untill I change over to BG syncroshift or GM syncromesh fluid? Thanks for everyones time.
