Guys I have a fwd 94 gst. I purchased the car with tranny problems and quickly fixxed them but.......a month later The lower left hand bolt above the differetial backed out and caused a problem. The upper starter bolt hole cracked and started to proceed down the bellhousing. I fixxed it with the help of a friend and his mig spool gun. The other day I go to start my car and it was in gear the starter bumped ......but not signifigantly so I thought. It broke the same f'n bolt right above the differential (not the welded bolt hole on the starter) So I pull the f'n tranny once a-F'n-gain and the lower right hand bolt to hole on the block cracks right the f#@#$@ off. So I'm welding it back on and will then reinstall the tranny only to have this happen again IMO. Now i WASN'T mad about this until my buddy chris came up to work and asked me to fix his tranny 91 talon 5sp like mine "it had the same crack in the starter bolt bellhousing area" and we start talking about this problem. He then tells me about his friend getting a new tranny for a 94 gst "yep you guessed it same f'n hole cracked on his only fragged his bellhousing". has anyone had this problem and conqoured it. If so what did you do to over come it from happening again? Thanks for the space DSMTUNERS RULES and thanks for the replies in advance.
Also tranny mount looks perfectly fine and all motor mounts are new in my car.
