fried second gear syncor need to find rebuild kit

Hi I have a 92 eagel talon awd tsi with 5 spd tranny and I just screwed up my second gear syncro and I realy would appreciate some info on where i can buy a rebuild kit or if not an entire tranny

options...

1) go to dealer and buy gear/syncro combo cause its the only place you'll find them new

2) buy a used tranny which you can find for less than 400$ sometimes

3) buy another tranny and send yours out and get it built (TRE, BM) and when you get it back sell the used tranny for what you bought it for so you have no downtime

for any one who wants to know the dealer sells syncros rings for 30 a piece and other costs for other individual parts they dont sell any kind of kits
